About Me

I am a wife, a teacher, a dog lover and a new mommy!  My son, Hudson was born in April.  I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was in the 1st grade.  My favorite thing to do when I was little to prepare for school was to go school supply shopping with both of my parents.  We made a special day out of it.  In fact, to this day my favorite section of any store is the school supply aisle. There is just something so special about a new shiny box of crayons!!!

My wonderful husband and I traveling last spring! :)

Taking a walk with our puppy Ellie! This is a fluffy version of her..
she need her hair cut almost every 3 months!

So the reason why I'm here---- I'm an educator... and an educator wears more than one hat.  I don't feel like just an educator... I feel like I'm so much more. To the children that I spend my days with I'm a role model, a doctor, a friend, a parental figure, a police officer, a photographer, a reporter, a custodian, a nurse, a detective, a mind reader, a psychiatrist, a therapist, a counselor.....but most important... I'm a teacher! I teach third grade, and have been in the education field since 2007.  I have taught both second and third grades.  I am currently in a third grade position.  One thing that I have learned over the years, is that you get your best ideas from other teachers.  With that being said, I also know how hard it is to find the time to go searching for great ideas even if they are happening in the very building that you teach. My hope is that this blog will help in the search for making great connections with other educators both in and out of the school building that I work in. I'm looking to share ideas, get ideas and also highlight the wonderful people in my life that make each day so special and different---- my kids! Thanks for stopping by!
